Amersham lose Thames Valley lead
AMERSHAM CC need to win their final game of the season to have any chance of promotion after they lost the Thames Valley League lead with defeat to Chesham on Saturday.
They made just 130 in reply to Chesham's 213-9 and are now 13 points behind Finchampstead, who beat High Wycombe 2s by eight wickets.
However, it is still in Amersham's hands.
They host Finchampstead in the final match of the season and can wrest the league back with a dominant victory Elsewhere in the league, David Heavyside's six wickets helped Beaconsfield to victory over Henley 2s.
He took 6-65 to help dismiss Henley 2s for 194, which Beaconsfield chased down with eight wickets in hand.
