Gaz hoping to tie up new Knott deal
BLUES boss Gareth Ainsworth said he wants to keep Billy Knott at Adams Park for longer.
The midfielder is set to play the last game of his current one month loan from Sunderland on Saturday, with the deal expiring next week.
Knott told the Bucks Free Press last week he was interested in staying beyond the end of the month and Ainsworth said the feeling was mutual.
He said: "Keeping your best players is something I want to do and I consider Billy to be one of the top players at the moment. He's come in and done fantastically in the games he's played in. We haven't been beaten with Billy in the team - he's definitely added to us.
"There's every possibility I will be trying to keep him for a bit longer but I keep negotiations private."
