Wasps aim to burst the tension with Wycombe win
AFTER three losses, Wasps admit they’re targeting Worcester for their first win tomorrow.
It’s bottom against second bottom at Adams Park and a home defeat for Wasps would leave them rooted to the foot of the Aviva Premiership table and really set the alarm bells ringing ahead of Saracens next weekend.
However, lock Kearnan Myall believes there is no reason to panic.
He said: “We’ve had three tough games. Exeter and Sale away are both games that Wasps historically haven’t performed particularly well in, but Worcester at home is definitely a game that we’re targeting. It has to come now.
“We played some great rugby in pre-season and got some good results, but in the three games we’ve played so far we’ve played well in parts and poorly in parts.
“We’ve had bonus points in all of them, but we’re setting our standards really high this year and that just isn’t acceptable for us.
“This weekend is a massive chance to put that right, to get that first win on the board and then move on from there.
“There is absolutely no reason to panic. We’ve got some really good individual players, a great team and great coaches. We’ve just got to put what we’re doing on the training field into action during games.”
