Cowan-Hall back but Craig still missing for Blues
PARIS Cowan-Hall is set to be given a recall to the Wanderers squad tomorrow after six weeks out - but Steven Craig is likely to miss out.
Winger Cowan-Hall hasn't featured for Blues since late August after a knee ligament injury sustained against Mansfield Town kept him sidelined.
Manager Gareth Ainsworth said he should be fit enough to feature against Burton - but it's a different story for Craig, with the Scottish striker still laid low with a virus.
The experienced striker hasn't played since the win at Plymouth three weeks ago.
Ainsworth said: "He's had a pick up in the last two weeks where he came in and trained a couple of days, but that seems to have knocked him back again. At the moment he's got no energy, he's totally drained and it's looking doubtful for him for Saturday.
"There's no point in training if you're ill. The last thing you want to do is exercise because your immune system will reduce. You need even more strength. He's been instructed to stay at home for strength reasons rather than for fear of creating a pandemic here. When he's fit Stevie will be back in [the squad]."
It's better news for Cowan-Hall though, with Ainsworth saying: "He's been training a couple of weeks. He got a few minutes in the Berks and Bucks Cup and looked very sharp.
"I've told him this week I'm going to be looking very closely at him in training to see where he is and see if he can be involved on Saturday. Perhaps Paris will be in the 18.
"He's an exciting player, can play on the wing or up front, and I'm sure he will be part of things going forward. He's absolutely desperate to get back on the pitch."
Ainsworth's attacking options are further boosted by the return from suspension of top scorer Dean Morgan.
