Young: We need to be better with the ball
WASPS boss Dai Young is not impressed with Wasps' role as brave losers at Saracens today.
They were beaten 19-12 despite outscoring their hosts by two tries to one, and Young has told his players to get better with ball in hand if they want to take the next step.
He said: "I thought we deserved to get something out of it, but it's pretty much a carbon copy of all the games we've played this season.
"Defensively I thought we muscled up and worked extremely hard, up front I was pleased with matched them with a young pack, but with the ball in hand we're just not good enough.
"Far too many times today within the first two or three phases we handed the ball back to Saracens again.
"Courage, committment, heart, never in doubt with this team. They've fight to the end of every game, but accuracy with the ball isn't good enough.
"We've got to keep working on it because we're not giving ourselves enough of a chance to win these tight games.
"On four or five occasions we got a five on three situation but weren't capable of exploiting it. On the two occasions that we did we came away with tries.
"That's the disappointing thing, if we can keep the ball past three or four phases you're going to stretch teams and then the opportunities will come.
"But in the first half we had the ball on the half way line and kicked out on the full twice, knocked on once and threw two forward passes."
