Wasps name team for Bayonne
WASPS have named their side to play Bayonne at Adams Park tomorrow night, with England's James Haskell back in the squad.
Wasps beat the Frenchmen in Wycombe in the Amlin Challenge Cup last season and another victory would see them take control of the group after their 90-17 win over Viadana last weekend.
Director of rugby Dai Young said: "This week is about recovery and preparation and both areas are as important as each other.
"We tried to utilise the wider squad last week as best we could and we’ve had a two game focus for these few weeks.
"We had a fair idea of who we wanted to play, taking into consideration some of the boys have played a lot of rugby in the opening weeks, and we feel positive going into Thursday.
“We are pleased with how it went in Italy though obviously we aren’t getting to carried away as there are much tougher challenges ahead.
"Perhaps the number of tries will help us if it’s tight in the group but Thursday’s game with Bayonne is hugely important in how we fare because we have got to win the home games if we want to get out of the pool.
"It is a tough pool with two good French sides in it but we’ve gotten to the quarter-finals in recent years and want to go further.
"It was tough in the knockout stages the last two seasons to come up against the teams who went on to win it, but that’s the way the competition goes."
The match kicks off at 7.45pm.
