Lewis looking forward to Fratton atmosphere
STUART Lewis said playing in front of a big crowd will give Wanderers' players the lift they need as they bid to bounce back at Portsmouth tonight.
The Blues skipper is confident a win is just around for corner for his side despite a run of six matches without victory.
He said his team mates can feed off the raucous atmosphere created by the Fratton faithful in a bid to get their faltering campaign back on track.
Lewis said: "It'll be a tough game at Fratton Park but a good one for us. It'll be a good crowd.
"It's a great stadium. It's a great atmosphere - for us players it's a real boost. It'll be a good time to go there. We'll attack it as we normally do and hopefully we will get a good few decisions our way.
"We're on a tough run, a bad run, but it'll change. We're all up for it. We need a result, let's be honest, and I'm sure a big one is coming."
Lewis said there were enough positives Blues could take from their defeat at his former club Dagenham and Redbridge on Saturday, with the midfielder pleased with the response the side showed after Anthony Stewart was sent off in the 2-0 defeat.
He said: "We can take a lot from the remaining 35-40 minutes where we really knocked on the door with ten men and showed we've got a real bit of spirit here.
"When you have a day like that when someone's decision has affected you, you can't wait to get back out there and put the wrongs right."
