KIRSTIN Stilwell won her third race in a row as Wycombe Phoenix Harriers climbed up to ninth place in Division One of the Chiltern Cross Country League.

The U11 star made it a hat-trick of wins with victory in Milton Keynes, pulling clear on the first hill and maintaining her lead to the line.

Emily Sanderson, Holly Hodgkinson and Kitty Conroy backed her up well by finishing third, fourth and sixth respectively to secure a comfortable team triumph and consolidate Wycomb’es place on top of the age group table.

In the boys run, Harvey Bell ran well for seventh and with Louis Simmons coming home ninth Phoenix finished second overall.

At U13 level, Olivia Lowrie, Katie Jones and Maisie Pennant all ran well to confirm their place in the Bucks squad for the Inter-County Championships, helping the team to fourth overall, while Joe Styles booked his place in the Bucks boys’ squad.

However, the U15s didn’t have their best day.

Cameron Almand finished 18th on his return from injury and in the girls race Megan Styles led the team home in 17th to earn county selection at the same time.

For the U17s, Emma Delgado and Bradley Lawrence earned county call ups despite finishing further down the field than they hoped, seventh and 11th respectively, while Georgina Russell and Vanessa Taylor came home 32nd and 36th in the senior ladies run.

For the men, Mateusz Sliwinski led the team home in 37th out of the nearly 400 runners, with Mark Booth 56th and Will Langley 69th.
