PARIS Cowan-Hall has no hard feelings towards his old club Scunthorpe United - but he said he's out to get back on the scoresheet tomorrow.

The 23-year-old had a brief spell with the Iron when they were still in the Championship, making just one appearance for the club.

He said he enjoyed his spell with the Glanford Park side and his former club won't be coming in for any special treatment.

But after scoring four times in 18 games he admits he's due a goal, having gone seven matches without finding the back of the net.

Cowan-Hall said: "In my head I have got my own little target. I was close the other day, I almost scored with another header. I think I'm due another one and hopefully that can come to fruition on Saturday.

"There were no hard feelings when I was let go from there. I was there for less than a year and didn't really play any games. It was quite obvious to see that was going to happen.

"I'll approach the game how I will any other game. It's not like I was there for three or four years like I was at Portsmouth. I don't feel any added pressure or anything like that."

Cowan-Hall has alternated between playing on the wing and at centre forward and he said there are pros and cons to both roles.

He said: "When you're up top everyone's expecting you to score so there's pressure there. You'll be given more chances to score and if you score it'll be your name in the paper the next day whether you played good or bad.

"There's less pressure on the wing but you've got to beat your man and try and provide. There's a lot more defensive work on the wing as well. I'd say the harder would be playing on the wing but I enjoy it."

Reflecting on his time at Scunthorpe, he added: "It was brief but I enjoyed it. Ian Baraclough was manager at the time. When I first joined it was quite a youngish squad so it looked like I was going to get a chance. We started losing games and the manager brought in a lot of older players to try to keep us up."
