GARETH Ainsworth is expecting a reaction from his players after cancelling a day off to watch the video of Saturday's capitulation to AFC Wimbledon.

The Blues boss was left fuming at his side's display in the second half of the 3-0 defeat, questioning his players' desire to win in his post match press conference.

Rather than having a day off the Wanderers team were dragged in to the training ground on Sunday to relive the previous day's nightmare and start the preparations for tomorrow's trip to Morecambe early.

Ainsworth said it had the desired effect - and he hopes it will have them pumped up as they look to right the wrongs on the Lancashire coast tomorrow.

He said: "We put a few things to bed, got a few things out in the open. It was a really productive thing and it's good now and again to have this.

"We want a good reaction - I'd expect it in every game but sometimes you need to have these little moments to evaluate where we are and how things are going.

"It doesn't guarantee the win on Saturday - that has to come from effort, passion and drive and doing all the things we ask of them. We've had that so far this week and I'm anticipating a real top effort up at Morecambe on Saturday."

Ainsworth said the passion and pride he normally demands from his men went missing on Saturday, in a second half collapse worthy of an English Ashes batting line-up.

He said: "In all my managerial career we've had some bad games but we've never capitulated like we did in the second half.

"I'm not the kind of man to say that was OK, that was a one-off - it should never happen. It's definitely not going to be a two-off. I don't want to see us capitulate, especially not at home, again.

"We had probably our lowest ebb of the season and my lowest ebb at home since I took over, which wasn't nice. The lowest point of last season we were bottom of the league. We're not bottom of the league this season, but we know now we can only go up from where we were.

"We've addressed that on Sunday and the positives that came out were superb."
