KIRSTEN Stilwell was too just quick again as she helped Wycombe Phoenix Harriers U11s to a fourth win in four in the Chiltern Cross Country League.

Stilwell was challenged for the first part of the race in Slough before pulling away to win by seven seconds.

Kitty Conroy backed her up with a third-place finish and Holly Hodgkinson was fourth and Emily Sanderson seventh.

They are now in prime position to complete a comprehensive overall victory in the final race of the league.

With the girls in such superb form, Harriers did enough to consolidate their place among the top ten clubs and all-but book their place in Division One against next season.

Backing up the girls, the U11 boys managed to hang on to fourth place in the overall standings despite their weakened team coming home ninth on the day.

Olivia Lowrie led the U13 girls home in fifth place, with Katie Jones and Maisie Pennant also in the top 20 to consolidate fourth place on the day and overall, while the U13 boys held on to sixth spot with Joe Styles recovering from an early fall to finish 23rd.

For the U15 boys, Cameron Almand continued his impressive return from injury with a fifth place finish.

That underpinned their fourth place on the day, which elevates Harriers up to sixth overall, while Emma Delgado and the U17 girls remain eighth overall.

Delgado raced to fourth on the day with a strong second lap, and Amy Grant came home seventh in the U20 event.

The U20 men remain fifth overall with one round to go.

At senior level, Vanessa Taylor was 21st home and Georgina Russell 28th, while Kieran Gilfedder and Mateusz Sliwinski continued their season long ding-dong battle, Gilfedder edged it this time with 28th overall and fifth in the U20 run.

Sliwinski was 33rd with Lewis Riseley (40th) and Mark Booth (56th) inside the top 100.

In a congested field, their efforts helped Phoenix to eighth place on the day and ninth overall, which will almost certainly guaranteeing top flight competition again for next season.
