WASPS hope to have Andrea Masi available for selection in time for their Aviva Premiership trip to Harlequins on February 9.
Masi has only played three times this season after injuring his knee playing against Sale in September.
But the 80-cap Italy international returned to training this week and the club hope to reintroduce him to competition during the LV Cup fortnight.
Director of rugby Dai Young said: “Andrea Masi is probably another two weeks. This is his first week doing bits and pieces and hopefully he might catch a little bit of game time in the last LV Cup game and then hopefully be available for Quins.”
Meanwhile, number eight Nathan Hughes should be back in action within a month.
