WYCOMBE Wanderers' dismal run continued as a strong Blues team were knocked out of the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup at Beaconsfield SYCOB in the semi-finals last night.

Wanderers included six first teamers in their side while manager Gareth Ainsworth also had a run out against the Southern League Central side, but it wasn't enough as Blues went out 4-2 on penalties after the game had finished 3-3.

Beaconsfield will now get a chance to defend the trophy they won for the first time last season, when they beat MK Dons on the way to glory, against either Chesham or Aylesbury, who play in the other semi-final tonight.

Rams led twice through Tom O'Regan and then Jon-Jo Bates, but Steven Craig and then Lee Angol equalised for Wanderers before Craig's second of the game after 75 minutes gave them the edge.

However, Kofi Lockhart-Adams replied for Beaconsfield late on to take the game into extra time.

Neither side could make the decisive move during the extra 30 minutes though, taking the tie to penalites.

And it was Beaconsfield who held their nerve, scoring through Zak Joseph, O'Regan and Aaron Morgan before Jack Hutchinson sent Blues packing with the winning kick after Craig and Junior Morais had both missed for Blues.
