WASPS director of rugby Dai Young says there was plenty to be positive about after his side suffered an agonising 11-10 loss at Harlequins this afternoon.
They led 10-6 with two minutes to go but Sam Smith snatched it for Quins with a try in the corner that was only awarded after television replays.
Young said: "There were far more positives than negatives. I thought we were by far the better team and deserved to win.
"You don't always get what you deserve in sport and we certainly didn't get what we deserved today.
"But we have to look at ourselves. We produced a lot of opportunities in the first half and should have gone into half time with a bigger lead than we did.
"We were pretty much in control for a huge majority of that match, but our discipline let us down in the last ten minutes and you certainly haven't got to tell us that you've got to keep playing against Quins.
"They've done it to us two or three years on the trot. They've got the quality to nick it right at the end and that proved to be the case again."
Meanwhile, Quins director of rugby Connor O'Shea said: "The better team lost today. We didn't perform and we got away with it.
"They deserved to win."
