WASPS wingers Christian Wade and Tom Varndell will be guests of honour at Farnham Royal RC this weekend as youngsters from Marlow, Amersham & Chiltern, High Wycombe and Beaconsfield will compete for a chance to go to Twickenham.

They will play in the Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup against other clubs from the region, with the winners taking part in the Parade of Champions at the Aviva Premiership Final in May.

Wasps are hosting the event, and Wade and Varndell will both be on hand to offer advice and share their experiences.

Varndell said: “These types of events are the foundations of rugby in the community, and something we should be really proud of.

“I'm sure there will be some of the next generation of Wasps players on show.

“I still remember playing at this age and loving my rugby so I can't wait to get along on Saturday and see the children enjoying the game like I did."
