AMERSHAM brothers Ravi and Kishan Sisodiya continued their steady rise through the fencing ranks with double gold at the Hertfordshire Youth Championships.

Kishan, a year seven pupil at Dr Challoner’s set the bar high in the U14 boys foil event as he cruised to gold without losing a match all day.

His victory continued a fine start to 2014.

Earlier in the year he helped his club, Three Rivers Young Blades, to glory against other clubs from around the country in the Leon Paul U13 team award, while he also won an individual bronze in the Leon Paul U13 competition in Bristol.

Not to be outdone, Ravi, who attends St Mary’s School in Amersham and is a clubmate of Kishan at Three Rivers Young Blades, won the U10s foil event in Hertfordshire despite being classed as a novice.

Three Rivers chairman Mike Ellis said: “Kishan and Ravi are both showing great promise and are continually developing their technique and these results were completely deserved.”
