STRIKER Matt McClure said the creativity of Max Kretzschmar has been key to Wanderers' recent upturn in form.

The midfielder had been in and out of the side earlier in the season but he's been given a consistent run in the team over the last month.

Since his recall Wanderers have been unbeaten and Kretzschmar has contributed two goals and been laying on plenty of chances for team mates in that time.

The 20-year-old's inch perfect corner delivery allowed McClure a simple headed finish to win Saturday's game against Hartlepool.

The striker said it's the kind of service he thrives on - and said the chances Kretzschmar has been creating has given Blues a previously-missing extra dimension to their game.

McClure said:  "It's no secret we're not creating enough but when we've had the chances we're not taking them either, so it works both ways. The more chances we get the more we stick away.

"He's been really good. He's one of the more technical players - he's very clever, technically aware and he's done really well. I'm pleased for him."
