GARETH Ainsworth believes his team are too good to go down and isn't taking notice of the form of the teams around Wanderers.

Blues are back to being four points above the cut-off line at the foot of the table as improving Northampton Town won a relegation six pointer at fellow strugglers Exeter City last night.

Ainsworth is keeping the focus on what his side are doing though, saying Wanderers' fate is in their own hands.

And he's bullish about his side's chances of beating the drop, saying there's more than enough in the squad to see off the threat of relegation.

The Blues boss said: "We've been here before, we're experienced in this battle. It's in our hands as long as we can keep positive and keep winning and keep driving forward.

"It would be nice to see the league pan out in the final few weeks of the season from the safety of survival - that's what we're aiming for.

"There's far too much in this squad to be worried about being in a relegation battle come the final weeks of the season. It's been proven in the games we've won and I think we'll be showing it on Saturday against York."
