BEN Sneesby has finished 12th on his Paralympic debut in Sochi this afternoon.

The High Wycombe skiier was competing for Great Britain in the Men's Slalom and after finishing 17th in his first run, the 19-year-old improved with an 11th place finish in his second run to come home 12th overall.

He completed the first run in 1:01.62 seconds, nearly nine seconds off the lead, before coming down in 1:03.68 in his second run, which was four seconds behind the fastest time.

The event was won by Japanese skier Takeshi Suzuki.

Sneesby is scheduled to return to action on Saturday morning in the Men's Giant Slalom.
