CHESHAM United are due to play Aylesbury United in the semi-final of the Bucks Cup tonight.
The game has been called off four times already because of bad weather, and Chesham boss Andy Leese is not delighted that it’s been rescheduled for less than 24 hours before a league fixture as they chase the Southern Premier League title.
He said: “We picked up a couple of injuries at the weekend, and that will impact what we do on Thursday.
“Leighton's pitch will be unforgiving, and we need to have a fully firing squad for Saturday's game.
“The significance of a game against Aylesbury United is not lost on me after seven years at the club, but circumstances mean we have to do what is right if we want to keep key players in the best shape.
“Whatever team we put out will be competitive and befitting of the shirt as we have always done in my time here.”
