THE coaching staff at Wanderers and Wasps are planning to take their relationship to a new level of harmony by releasing a single this summer to raise funds for both clubs.
It is understood the song will be a remake of Blur’s Parklife, with Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth on lead vocals.
Ainsworth already fronts a band called Dog Chewed the Handle, and is considering modifying the lyrics to Adams Parklife.
A Welsh contingent from Wasps, believed to include coaches Dai Young and Stephen Jones, will form a backing choir that extemporises midway through the track.
An insider said: “They’ve already met up for a few informal rehearsals and it’s surprisingly good. It’s like Britpop meets the voices of the valleys – but in a good way.”
