CHESHAM Stags U9s saw off rivals from Wasps, Saracens, Old Northamptonians and Bedford to win the Saracens A tournament.
They scored six tries against Ruislip and Saracens in Pool A, with other victories coming against Old Northamptonians (3-2) and Sandal (3-0) sealing their place in the final against Huntington.
That finished 1-1, before Chesham won it through Jack Feinson’s golden try. Feinson and Freddie Bateson also scored hat-tricks during the groups, with other tries coming from Louis Mackenzie and Theo Russell.
Coach Kevin Halpin said: “ “It was an immensely proud day for all involved. We were pleased to be invited to such a prestigious A tournament and to win against some of the biggest clubs in the country is a superb achievement for the team.”
