CHESHAM United’s hopes of title glory took a huge dent as their 13 match winning sequence came to a losing end last night.
A late goal condemned them to a 1-0 defeat at Poole Town, leaving them five points adrift of long-time leaders Hemel Hempstead.
The top two face each other on Easter Monday but there are now just three games to go and the Generals face an uphill battle to usurp their near neighbours.
They host another side chasing the play offs, Stourbridge, tomorrow at The Meadow.
