A SECTION of Wycombe Wanderers fans turned on manager Gareth Ainsworth after Saturday's 2-1 home loss to Bristol Rovers all but ended the club's 21-year stay in the Football League.
Ainsworth and his players came out to applaud the supporters after the defeat, but the boss was greeted by 'Ainsworth out' chants and demands for answers for Blues' atrocious form.
The loss means Wanderers are now second from bottom in League Two, three points away from the teams above them.
Their final game is against bottom club Torquay next Saturday, and if Blues lose it they will end the season 92nd out of the 92 League clubs.
Meanwhile, Ainsworth has won 31 of his 94 games in charge, with 23 draws and 40 losses.
