ANNABEL Dimmock has followed up her win in the Helen Holm Scottish Open with a GB&I Curtis Cup call-up.

The Curtis Cup is the best known team trophy in women’s amateur golf and is based on the Ryder Cup.

Dimmock, 17, has earned her placed in the eight-strong team that will defend the cup in Missouri next month after finishing inside the top four ranked GB&I players in the world rankings.

Her selection continues a stellar year for the full-time golfer.

After winning in Scotland she finished second in the Welsh Open last weekend, while earlier in the season she won the matchplay Jones Doherty Cup in the USA, finished second in the Atlantic Ladies Amateur, fifth in the European Nations Cup and won the Sunningdale Foursomes.

She was also a member of the winning team at the Girls’ Home Internationals.

Dimmock, who is now a member at Wentworth, plays off a plus 2.5 handicap and was earmarked for success early on after becoming the Bucks Par Three Champion aged just 12 and then finishing second in the Bucks County Championships the following year.
