NICK Arnold is a free agent after being released from Reading, having spent a season on loan with Wanderers.

The 23-year-old made 33 appearance for the club last season in midfield and defence in a year long loan from the Royals.

But Arnold told his Twitter followers this morning the Championship outfit had opted not to offer him a new contract.

He said: "After discussions with Reading I will not be renewing my deal there. Just would like to thank everyone associated with the club for an amazing seven years there as they've given me my starting block to go on and I hope them all the best for the future."

Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth will announce his side's released and retained list this week.
