WASPS have consolidated their front row options for next season by signing a hooker and agreeing a contract extension with another.

Ed Shervington will join the club from Worcester Warriors, while Tom Lindsay has signed a new deal, meaning the club will have three hookers to choose from next season with Carlo Festuccia also still on the books.

Lindsay, a 26-year-old winger-turned-hooker, has played more than 100 times for the club while Shervington, 29, played for Neath and Ospreys before going to make 100 appearances for Worcester.

Wasps director of rugby Dai Young said: “We have seen this year that it is important to have three top-level hookers in your squad and with these two players, along with Carlo Festuccia, that is what we will have for next season.

“Tom Lindsay has been a great servant for this club, already passing 100 appearances, and with his ball-carrying ability, he is a great player to have in the mix.

“Ed Shervington has impressed me with his physical displays for Worcester and I am very confident that he will be a very good addition to our squad moving forward.”
