MARLOW golfer Tyrrell Hatton returned to form with a top 30 finish in the Spanish Open yesterday.

Hatton finished in a tie for 28th with rounds of 73, 74, 71 and 73 to finish on plus three, seven shots off winner Miguel Angel Jimenez, who, at 50, broke his own record for the oldest winner on Tour.

Hatton, who has finished 46th, 43rd, 54th and 101st in the four tournaments he's played since his second place finish at the Jobury Open in February, picked up just under £10,000 for his efforts and is now 61st in the Race to Dubai with season earnings of about £150,000.

This is Hatton's first season on the European Tour after progressing from the Challenge Tour last year.
