HIGH Wycombe CC won their first match of the Home Counties season with a thumping triumph over Oxford.

James Benning top-scored with 62 and also took three wickets as Wycombe won by 58 runs.

They posted 204-6 from 30 overs before dismissing Oxford for just 146 in 26.4 overs.

Opener Nick Robinson was also among the runs with 52 at the top of the order, while Adam Dobb took three wickets.

Wycombe are now up to second, behind Banbury, who are the only team to have won all three matches.

Meanwhile, Aston Rowant's game with Harefield and Gerrards Cross' match at Henley were both cancelled.
