A WYCOMBE Abbey pupil had a day to remember with four golds and two championship records at the Bucks AA Track and Field Championships last weekend.

Temi Ojora won the 100m, 200m, high jump and long jump at Horspath Road, Oxford, over the Bank Holiday weekend, with new U13 records coming in the field with jumps of 1.45m and 4.97m.

Ojara’s leap of 4.97m places her number one in the UK age group rankings, and she is also at the top of tree in high jump after recording a height of 1.55m earlier in the season.

Meanwhile, her Windsor, Slough, Eton and Houslow AC team-mate Jemima Copeman was also a multiple medal winner.

Copeman, who also captains the Marlow U12 hockey team, made the podium in the 100m, 200m, long jump and 70m hurdles.

But her best result of the day came in the javelin where she threw a new best of 27m to move third in the UK rankings.

Meanwhile, Ele Krefting completed an U13 cleansweep for WSEH/Wycombe Abbey by joining Ojara and Copeman on the podium in the 100m, 200m.

She also won the 70m hurdles in her own right while Francesca McLeod made it a Wycombe Abbey one, two, three with a jump of 4.07m in the long jump.

Elsewhere, Rachel Denton-Snape led another cleansweep of medals in the U15 discus where her gold medal provided inspiration for teammates Izzy Keeley and Charlotte Humphries to take the next two places.

Denton-Snape then added the hammer title while Keeley added bronze in the shot. Meanwhile, Ele Forsdyke set a personal best to win gold in the U15 300m with a time of 44.98 seconds while also adding a silver in the 200m and bronze in the long jump.

Florence Copp led her training partners to the first five places in the U15 75m hurdles with Fabienne Cuthbert and Izzy Coleman joining her on the podium, while pentathlete Annie Getley clocked two championship titles in the U20 shot and javelin.

Also victorious, Abi Pinner improved her high jump best to 1,45m to claim the U15 title.

Further, golds came from Olivia Caesar (U20 400m), Steph Clitheroe (U20 100m), Ellie Bilsland (80m hurdles ), Anya Wood (U17 300m hurdles), Michael Louise (senior 100m), Emily Dodd (U17 javelin).

Meanwhile, in the Oxon Championships at the same venue, Freya See recorded a season’s best of 10.36m to take triple jump gold.

Silver medals came from Morgan Hanson, who smashed her 1,500m best by 25 seconds to come home in five minutes, 17 seconds. while her training partner Katie Thompson took 33 seconds off her best 1,500m time to finish in five minutes, 19 seconds for bronze.

Other silver medallists were Ciaran McGuire (U20 100m), Ele Crowe (U15 high jump), Isaac Hay (shot, discus and javelin), Anya Wood (high jump), Grace Wilkinson (triple jump), Astra Liebowitz (U15 javelin), Steph Clitheroe (U20 100m hurdles), Eloise Davison (U17 800m).

Meanwhile, younger athletes making their Championship debuts were also rewarded with medals; Eloise Brindle collecting silver in the discus and bronze in the shot while Nathan Fletcher won a bronze in discus.

Also winning bronzes were Darcey Roe (U13 javelin), Steve O’Hara (U20 100m and 200m), Martha Stevens (U17 80m hurdles) and Jacob Preston (U15 800m).
