HIGH Wycombe CC missed the chance to close the gap on the leaders but also avoided the danger of falling further behind as their match with Banbury was cancelled on Saturday.
A water-logged pitch meant that not a single ball could be bowled, meaning two of Wycombe's four fixtures have been lost to the weather while another match had to be squeezed in between showers.
Theirs was the only Home Counties Division One game to be affected, with Aston Rowant losing at Burnham and Gerrards Cross beaten at home by Tring after being bowled out for 91.
In Division Two, Amersham beat Shipton-U-Wychwood and Chesham were beaten by Finchampstead.
