STEPHANIE Clitheroe won three golds all in personal best times to keep her club on track to defend their national athletics title.

Clitheroe was competing for Windsor, Slough, Eton and Hounslow in the Youth Development League in Bromley and her three victories went a long way to securing their place in the National Finals in September.

She began with a new best time of 12.39 seconds to win the U20 100m and then smashed her 200m best with a time of 25.66 seconds.

With her best event to close her track schedule, she didn’t disappoint in the 100m hurdles, securing gold plus her place at the British Athletics Championships and English Schools Championships.

For good measure, Clitheroe also set a new best in the high jump of 1.40m.

Also hitting the English Schools mark was Elie Bilsland with a time of 11.98 seconds in the U17 80m hurdles, while Eloise Davison improved her 800m best to two minutes and 18.82 seconds and Amy Hoskins reduced her 300m best to 44.86 seconds.

Elsewhere, Steve O’Hara set a new best of 11.33 seconds to finish second in the U20 100m, Alice Botting won the B string hammer and Ellie Jackson added silver in the U17s javelin.

Also in good form on the day were Grace Wilkinson (triple jump, 800m), Alana Fagan (high jump, long jump and 300m hurdles), Mattie O’Callaghan (300m hurdles), Isla Botting ( U17 hammer) and William Brennan (1,500m).
