GARETH Ainsworth is currently in talks with three possible new signings - with a left back top of his summer wishlist.
The Wanderers chief has previously said he is keen to have the majority of his new-look squad in place ready for the start of pre-season training, which begins at the end of the month.
His focus at the moment is on bringing in permanent signings, with loan transfers a possibility nearer the beginning of the season.
Wycombe Wanderers Trust director David Roberton said at a meeting last night: "Gareth has a list of players. Three players, we've got discussions ongoing at this moment in time. If we can land two of those three players, I think we'll be very happy.
"We can bring in three more players and have the spine of a very good team.
"The priority is a left back. We want Sam Wood to play further forward."
He added: "We are concentrating on getting in two or three players rather than loans."
