ANDY Leese faces a huge rebuilding job this summer after his entire first-choice front three defected to rivals this week.

Chris Dillon, Drew Roberts and James Potten scored 81 times between them last season as Chesham pushed Hemel all the way to the Southern Premier League title in their most successful season in 20 years.

But Chesham will have to replace them all after they rocked the club by moving on en masse.

Potten, who scored more than 20 goals from midfield, will play Conference Football next season after being snapped up by Hemel Hempstead.

But Roberts and Dillon have both moved backwards by switching to St Neot’s Town, who finished 16th in the table last May – 38 points behind Chesham.

To make matter worse, long-serving defender John Kyriacou has also left The Meadow.

He has joined St Albans, who beat Chesham in the promotion play-off final.

The full back is following in the footsteps of former Generals John Frendo, Chris Watters and Steve Wales.
