MARLOW CC are through to the final of the oldest evening 20/20 tournament in the country.

They beat Boyne Hill in the semi-final of the Julian Cup on Tuesday night and will now meet the winners of Burnham and Stoke Green in the final on July 15.

Boyne Hill won the toss and batted first, but after a quick start Paul Brzezicki (3-26) and Mark Dozell (2-23) reduced them to 50-7 after ten overs.

Jeremy Batty (3-9) then took over and only a last-wicket stand of 21 helped Hill reach 79 all out.

In reply, Marlow started steadily with Graeme Paskins (20) and Simon Carter (12) making early runs.

At 41-4 after 11 overs the game was in the balance, but Kevin Hudson, with 30 not out, and Pete Dickerson, with an unbeaten 16, steered their side home in the 18th over.
