LUKE Donald is well-placed after his first round of the Scottish Open.
The former world number one golfer from High Wycombe carded a 67 for a four-under par score at Roayal Aberdeen.
Donald made birdies on the sixth and eighth on the front nine before adding two more on the 11th and 15th to end three behind Rory McIlroy, who carded a 67, and one ahead of playing partner and defending champion Phil Mickelson.
Marlow's Tyrrell Hatton tees off at 3.10pm.
