BUCKS CCC Over 60s suffered a second heavy defeat of the season to Surrey at Penn & Tylers Green, as they followed a ten-wicket loss earlier in the summer with an eight-wicket reverse this time around.
They lost the toss and were inserted, but got off to a solid start through Bryan Relph on his county debut, and Amersham Hill’s Ron Hedley.
Hedley made 23, but the bulk of the runs came down the order as home player Steve Coleman and Chris Tucker went after the Surrey attack.
They made 48 and 46 not out respectively to haul Bucks to 214-7, but it was well short of enough.
Penn’s Terry Bentley took one wicket and Coleman added a stumping, but they were the only breakthroughs Bucks made as Surrey eased past their score with eight wickets and three overs to spare.
