HIGH Wycombe CC are up to second in the Home Counties League after a second win in as many weeks.
They beat Aston Rowant by 131 runs thanks in part to a fine bowling display from Gavin Harper.
Wycombe batted first and scores of 51, 43, 22 and 69 from Gavin Baker, George Russell, Matt Eyles and James Benning gave them a good base before Alan Duncan's 71 from 77 balls elevated the innings to 291 all out.
That was only half the job, but Harper finished it off with stunning figures of 6-40 from 12 overs to send the hosts back to the pavilion for 160.
However, Gerrards Cross are still in trouble after losing to leaders Banbury.
They actually played well, with Matt Watson (77) and Dan Hampton (81 not out) taking their score to 257-4, but that wasn't enough as Banbury raced home inside 56 overs with two wickets in hand.
