A SIDE with 383 Test caps between them will come to Bucks next week hell bent on preserving their unbeaten run this summer.

Lashings, a touring squad of former world stars, will play Amersham in a Twenty20 match on Wednesday, July 23.

Assuming they beat Hadleigh and Thundersley on Tuesday, they will arrive at Shardeloes chasing a 15th victory in a row this summer.

Despite the talent within their ranks, Lashings have never gone an entire summer unbeaten.

However, they have picked a side bursting with class in a clear effort to change all that.

Hershelle Gibbs, inset, will open the batting after scoring more than 6,000 runs in 90 Test matches for South Africa.

Wasim Jaffer, the leading run scorer in Indian first class cricket, also plays.

Legendary Australian wicket keeper Ian Harvey is also in the side alongside West Indian fast bowler Corey Collymore and one of the greatest spinners ever, Pakistan’s Saqlain Mushtaq.

Adam Hollioake, Devon Malcolm, Chris Schofield and John Emburey lead the England contingent.

Amersham captain Luke Jackson said: “Their big aim is to be undefeated this summer, which they’ve never been before, so it would be good to do some damage.

“We definitely see it as a challenge and have picked our strongest side.

“But the competitive juices don’t go, so if we can start well it should be a really good game.”

The match starts at 2.30pm, with entrance £5.
