BALLINGER Waggoners CC U10s will take on Marlow in the Bucks Cup Final at Beaconsfield CC after beating Cublington with a stunning display in their semi-final.

Batting first, openers Oliver Webb and Tim Hayes put on 34 in the first four overs before Archie Tatum and Sebastian Phillips continued the assault.

Louis Barton and Finn Henry then took over and kept up the scoring rate before U9 player Raphi Weatherall scored 16 from just eight balls.

The final pair, Thomas Berens and Max Conway, then put on 36 runs from the last four overs as Ballinger amassed a stunning score of 326.

And it was far too many for Cublington after Weatherall’s devastating bowling display.

He dislodged the middle stump with his first delivery and after Oliver Webb had removed the other opener in his first over Weatherall returned with a two-wicket maiden to leave Cublington’s reply in ruins.

Thomas Berensin kept up the pressure with a wicket in his first over before Archie Tatum claimed three quick scalps of his own.

Kuran Biring, Tim Hayes and Sebastian Phillips were also among the wicket-takers as Ballinger powered home.
