MATT Bloomfield is encouraging fans to donate to a Bucks children's charity at his testimonial game against Chelsea tonight.

The Wanderers midfielder took a break from pre-season training yesterday to visit staff at the Aylesbury-based PACE charity, and to meet some of the children they help.

A collection for PACE will take place outside Adams Park before this evening's game against the Premier League giants, which will celebrate Bloomfield's ten years of service as a Wanderers player.

He said: "It’s such an amazing place with some incredible people and I was honoured to be able to go there and meet them.

"The work that they do makes such a positive difference to the lives of young people and I’m really pleased that they’ll have the opportunity to raise important funds on a special occasion at Adams Park.

"I’d like to urge our fans to donate whatever they can to this fantastic cause, to help children with physical disabilities become as independent as possible in their current and future lives."

PACE supports more than 100 children who suffer disabilities such as cerebral palsy, including six families from High Wycombe and a further seven from Amersham, Great Missenden, Penn and Princes Risborough.

Supporters can donate to the collection around the stadium at Adams Park, or online at www.justgiving.com/pace/Donate. Alternatively text donations are accepted by sending the message ‘PACE08 £5’ to 70070.
