CHESHAM United have been handed their longest-distance away trip of the new season first up - before some familiar faces arrive back at The Meadow for their first home game.

Today's big reveal of the Southern League fixtures for next season has given the Generals the 550 mile round trip to Truro City for the campaign's curtain raiser on Saturday, August 9.

The opening home match brings Chris Dillon and Drew Roberts - who both scored hatfuls of the goals for Andy Leese's side last season - back to Chesham in an early reunion on Tuesday, August 12.

Slough Town are the visitors to The Meadow on Boxing Day before Chesham face a New Year's Day trip to Burnham.

They're at home on the final day, hosting Banbury United.

The fixtures for Division One Central have also been announced today, with Beaconsfield SYCOB and Chalfont St Peter both starting off on home soil.

SYCOB host relegated Bedford Town while Saints welcome Bedworth United to Mill Meadow.

Marlow are at Godalming before starting their home campaign with a midweek visit from Leighton Town.

Chalfont St Peter also face both of their south Bucks rivals before the end of August.
