IT'S all change on the coaching staff at Beaconsfield SYCOB after the club linked up with a football academy based at Bisham Abbey.

Young graduates from the FAB Academy will be gradually integrated into the first team squad at Holloways Park after the club announced a link-up.

The new alliance also means Academy founder Nas Bashir becomes Director of Football, with Andy Hurley being appointed manager and Lee Togwell taking the role of player/coach.

Senior coaches and staff at the FAB Academy will also work with the first team at Beaconsfield.

Bashir, a former community coach at Wycombe Wanderers, founded FAB in 2011 with the intention of developing young footballers by giving them the chance to play at a high level and an education off the pitch.

He said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for us to work with a well-established club, run by a passionate board of directors and bring our talented scholars through into senior football.

"We aim to build on a strong performance last season, play some exciting football and see a team challenging on all fronts. Pre-season has started well and this group of players can't wait to see the season start."

The Board of Directors at Beaconsfield SYCOB believe the alliance will strengthen the club both on and off the pitch.

Club spokesman Mark Brennan said: "It's always been our aim to improve the quality of all aspects of the club and we feel that working with the FAB coaches and some of their brightest young scholars will do that. There is a real energy around the club and my fellow directors and I enter the season with real confidence."

SYCOB host Barnet in their final pre season friendly on Tuesday, August 5 before starting their league campaign with a home game against Bedford Town.
