ENGLAND rugby star Rochelle Clark says her long-awaited World Cup winner’s medal is not a leaving present.

The 33-year-old prop helped England to World Cup glory in Paris on Sunday, when they beat Canada 21-9.

The win ended a run of three final defeats in a row for the Red Roses, with Clark playing in the last two of those.

Victory on Sunday could have been seen as the perfect send-off, but Clark insists she’s going nowhere.

The Chesham Stags, Chesham High School and BNU coach said: “I’m not anywhere near ready for retirment. I feel like I’m at the peak of my form so why would I stop? They’ll have to drag me away.”

Clark has 95 caps to her name now, just five behind the all-time record holder Amy Garnett.

She said: “The next World Cup is only three years away and I hope we can defend our title, but my immediate target is to get to 100 caps.

“Amy Garrett has that record and she is someone I’ve always admired and looked up to.

“I was first capped in 2003 and never thought I’d get anywhere near it.”
