MARLOW FC and Chalfont St Peter FC are both waiting to get their Southern League Central Division seasons off the ground.

The pair are fourth and third from bottom in the 22-team division without a win between them eight games.

On Saturday neither side could break their duck when they met each other at Oaktree Road, and that 2-2 draw was followed by a pair of away defeats on Tuesday evening.

Saints actually led Marlow twice last weekend with Alan Hedley scoring after eight and 55 minutes, but they were pegged back by Marlow goals after 42 and 58 minutes from Jon Bennett and Chris Ovenden.

Saints were at Hanwell Town on Tuesday but found themselves 2-0 down after eight minutes and never recovered.

Marlow also drew a blank on the road but looked to have at least secured a point at Daventry Town, only to be suckered by a home winner four minutes into injury time.

They go to Rugby Town tomorrow before hosting Aylesbury on Monday, while Chalfont St Peter entertain Beaconsfield on Monday and Godalming tomorrow.
