AMERSHAM & Chiltern RFC have appointed a new chairman and coach ahead of the new season.

Spike Stevens has taken over from Richard Bobbett as club chairman while Richie Williams has joined as head coach.

He replaces Craig Burgess, who has moved away from the area, and joins forwards coach Pete Gibson.

Meanwhile, the first team were beaten 17-7 in pre-season warm-up.

On Saturday they continue their preparations with a game against Aylesbury.

Amersham begin their National League 3 London and South East season against Hertford on September 6.
