MATTHEW Eyles hasn’t decided if he’ll captain High Wycombe CC again next year.
Eyles was recalled before the start of this season to restore a winning mindset to the team and by and large the move has worked.
However, Eyles himself hasn’t contributed the weight of runs he’d have expected to and, as a unit, High Wycombe have misfired with the bat.
He said: “I’m not sure if I’ll do it next season. I’m going to have a think about it and then sit down with the chairman.
“My batting form hasn’t been what I’d have liked and I don’t know if that’s because of the captaincy, so I’ll assess it in the autumn.
“But regardless of whether I’m captain or not, I think the team is in great shape.”
