WASPS won a training game at Esher by ten tries to nil last night.
The black and golds picked an almost full strength pack to start the game, although a raft of changes followed after the interval.
Alongside two penalty tries, Jonah Holmes, Alex Lozowski, Nathan Hughes, Ashley Johnson, Christian Wade, Tom Lindsay, Chris Bell and Elliot Daly – who looked particularly sharp – all crossed.
Wade said: “The team played really well, we put in a good display of attacking rugby and our defence was good as well.
“This is our third game and we’re still trying to piece things together structure-wise, but we’re getting better game on game. We’re in good shape and looking forward to the season.
Team: Miller, Wade, Daly, Bell, Holmes, Goode, Davies, Mullan, Festuccia, Cittadini, Launchbury, Gaskell, Johnson, Haskell, Hughes.
Replacements: Lindsay, Yapp, Swainston, Myall, Thompson, Bliss, Lozowski, Masi, Varndell
