GARETH Ainsworth is keeping quiet over his plans for the rest of the transfer window - which could include trying to extend Alfie Mawson's loan deal.
The central defender has been in superb form since arriving at Adams Park the day before the season started but his current deal from Brentford is due to expire at the end of next week.
Ainsworth said he was delighted at his form but refused to be drawn on the player's future.
He said: "He's come in for his first stint in professional football and done really well for me.
"The next four or five days I'll keep really quiet and people will know when it happens."
Ainsworth added he wants to increase the size of his squad but was tight lipped on the possibility of new arrivals joining before the deadline at the end of the month.
He said: "With the size of the squad we are, injuries and suspensions will kill us big time.
"I'm always looking to counter that but at the moment I won't be giving anything away over the next few days of what's going to happen.
"We're managing to keep injury free at the moment. [Physios] Dave Wates and Cian O'Doherty are doing a great job."
