HIGH Wycombe RUFC and Marlow RFC will kick off their Southern Counties North seasons with a bang tomorrow when the Bucks rivals cross swords at Riverwoods.
High Wycombe go into the match with a spring in their step after a spectacular Bucks Cup victory over Olney last weekend.
They trailed 11-0 with 20 minutes to go but their superior fitness paid rich dividends as they stormed back to take it 19-11 in Mark Berry’s first game in charge.
They will now play Drifters at Kingsmead in the quarter-finals on November 8.
Drifters booked their place in the last eight with a 15-11 win over Beaconsfield, who are also in Southern Counties North and begin their league campaign against Stow-on-the-Wold.
They play High Wycombe and Marlow on successive Saturdays in November.
Bucks Cup quarter-finals, Nov 8: Amersham & Chiltern 2s v Milton Keynes; Marlow v Bletchley; Buckingham v Aylesbury; tbc v tbc
